The angle of each corner of an equilateral triangle is 60° or π/3 in radians. As the slant bisects the corner of the triangle, it always has to be at an angle of 30° or π/6 in radians with the base of the slat. This tool will give you the length of slant S so you don't need an intricate combination of a protractor and a setsquare, just a ruler and a pencil. You can just use the ruler to measure the calculated length of S. You will always get the correct angle of 30°.
